FP&A Analyst to Finnkino and Odeon Cinemas Group

Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career? To Finnkino’s office in Helsinki, we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to become a key player in our team! As our FP&A Analyst, you’ll be an essential part of a small but powerful team, where your contributions directly influence our success. About the Role

Your responsibilities will involve producing financial analyses to support the business with accurate, timely, and insightful data for senior leaders. You’ll deliver crucial insights that drive our strategic decisions and ensure the company’s financial success.

Odeon Cinemas Group is the largest cinema operator in Europe and part of the AMC Group. You will join ODEON Cinemas Group Northern Europe, which includes some of the most well-known cinema brands in the Nordics, such as Finnkino, Filmstaden in Sweden, and Odeon Kino in Norway. You will become a part of Northern Europe Finance Team, alongside colleagues across three countries, and report to the Head of FP&A.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Supporting the work with preparing accurate and timely reporting of management financial information, primarily to the Head of FP&A.
  • Supporting the work with preparing financial budgets, projections, weekly updates and other financial reports for Finnkino.
  • Preparing financial reports/data to support the Northern Europe and Finnish organization with commercial evaluation of initiatives, investments etc.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and to respond to ad hoc questions
  • Supporting the B2B organization with media sales accruals, reporting to external stakeholders, sales commissions etc.
  • Perform different accounting tasks and support with the financial reporting.

You will be based at our Support Office in Helsinki, with the possibility of partially working from home through our hybrid working model. You’ll work closely with various departments within the company, collaborating with the accounting department and four colleagues based in Finland at the Finnkino Support Office.

This position is permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. Our suggested start date is November 1, 2024, but since we’re excited to welcome our new team member, the start date is negotiable.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics or a related field.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in business control, financial controlling, or accounting roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Experience and strong interest in working with modern business systems like Power BI and Hyperion.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Finnish and English.

You are curious, proactive, and skilled at taking initiative, with a strategic mindset that balances the big picture with meticulous attention to detail. Being structured and detail-oriented is essential, as is having excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders. Since collaboration and communication are at the core of this role, we require strong communication skills for seamless interaction with stakeholders.
